GPS DATA:  Tuweep Church House Site  36' 12.884N  113' 03.424W 4576 ft Elevation

In St. George, head South on River Road and turn South and drive pass the Block Plant (Start Road Mileage) to the Arizona State Line (36' 59.974N  113' 34.322W) and continue south.  Turn South at the Seegmiller Mountain Junction (36' 49.604N 113' 33.668 W 25 Miles ). Stay on main road to the Black Rock Junction  (36' 44.886N  113' 32.812W 31.6 Miles).  Do not turn, but continue driving on the road to the Mt Trumbull School house 36  24.725  113 19.536W 61.1 miles.  Turn Left and drive to the Mt. Trumbull Saw Mill  36' 23.547 N 113' 09.234W 74 miles.  Continue on and follow the Signs to the Tuweep Church House Site 86.5 miles.  Be sure to drive the additional 8 miles to the Grand Canyon Tuweep view site.         (GPS 36 12.884N 113 03.424W)

  The Church was built by the Kent Family for Mrs Kent who wanted to start a church of her own.  It had a pulpit and benches, but she could not get any one to join or attend. Mr Kent was also the Post Master for that area.
